In 1906, this man had a vision. To bring industry to his neighbourhood. Reftele was then an undeveloped village, lacking even electricity. Two very important factors however, were central to the development of Reftele into the thriving, prosperous town it is today. They were the railway and Johan August Pettersson.
He named his works "Skogsfors Bruk" and started developing and manufacturing products to rationalise farming. During the 1930's the product range was expanded to include water pumps, hydrophores and mixing valves. The specialisation in Hydronic Systems had begun.
In 1939 Johan August sold the main part of his business but kept the mixing valves manufacturing element. This was entrusted to his son Göte who successfully managed the company, during the '50's and '60's by developing and manufacturing new valve concepts for OEM clients. At this stage we also took our first steps on the international market.
This, very briefly, is our history, the foundation on which we are now building our future. A future that started as Skogsfors Bruk is now called ESBE and we specialise in developing, manufacturing and marketing valves and actuators for controlling hydronic systems for central heating and domestic boiler applications.
